PM Modi Launches Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra to Empower Women in Agriculture
The Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra aims to provide modern technology like drones to farmers at a low cost, saving time, medicine, and fertilizers. The program aligns with the government's efforts to improve the standard of living, drive away poverty from poor families, create employment opportunities for youth, and empower women by addressing their issues.
In a significant step towards empowering women in agriculture, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The historic event took place during a virtual interaction with beneficiaries, where the Prime Minister also dedicated the 10,000th Jan Aushadhi Kendra at AIIMS, Deoghar, and announced the expansion of Jan Aushadhi Kendras from 10,000 to 25,000 across the country.
The Mahila Kisan Drone Center, aptly named "Drone Didi," is set to revolutionize farming practices and make women self-reliant in agriculture. Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, who welcomed the attendees, expressed enthusiasm about the program, emphasizing its potential impact on women's livelihoods.
Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the success of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which has gained momentum over its 15-day journey, transforming into a public movement from a government initiative. He acknowledged the citizens' trust in the government, evident in the affectionate renaming of the VBSY van to "Modi Ki Guarantee vehicle."
