Get a Bumper Subsidy of 60% on Goat Rearing and Earn Huge Profits- Apply Now!!
This article provides detailed information on the government’s plan to provide subsidies to different categories of goat rearing, benefits to farmers, the application process, and required documents.
Goat farming, particularly in rural areas, is recognized as one of the most profitable businesses. Small-scale farmers can generate a substantial income through goat rearing due to the high demand for goat milk and meat in the market. To promote goat rearing among farmers, the state government has recently sanctioned a scheme worth Rs 1,293.44 lakh.
This approval simplifies the process for farmers to access significant subsidies for goat farming. Those seeking to enhance their income through goat rearing can now avail up to a 60% subsidy from the government, making it a cost-effective and low-risk business that requires minimal additional investment or special care for the goats.
Subsidy for Goat Farming
The state government operates the Integrated Goat and Sheep Development Scheme, focusing on promoting goat rearing. Beneficiaries in the state are eligible for a subsidy of up to 60%, enabling them to establish private goat farms with different capacities (20 goats + 1 goat capacity, 40 goats + 2 goat capacity, and 100 goats + 5 goat capacity).
The scheme covers the entire state, making its benefits accessible to individuals from all sections of society. The scheme not only offers subsidies but also provides training opportunities to enhance goat farming skills. While the scheme offers up to 60% subsidy, the general category beneficiaries can avail of a 50% subsidy for their goat farming business.
Goat Rearing Training Offered
Under the state government's Integrated Goat and Sheep Development Scheme, beneficiaries will not only receive subsidies for establishing goat farms but will also have access to goat-rearing training. The government has set a target to establish 453 goat farms this year and will provide subsidies to farmers for this purpose. Beneficiaries selected for the scheme are required to manage and operate the goat farm for a minimum duration of 5 years.
