According to Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister for Agriculture and Family Welfare, young people involved in agriculture should contribute more to boost the sector's benefits.

While speaking at the Chaudhary Charan Singh National Institute of Agricultural Marketing's (CCS-NIAM) Post Graduate Diploma in Agri-Business Management's 4th Convocation ceremony, Narendra Singh Tomar stated that the government is continually working to improve the agriculture sector through various programmes.

Tomar continued by pointing out that, "while there are jobs in the industry, the farmers also take pride in their country. Without agricultural output, everything will come to an end. With the help of the States, the Central Government is making progress in resolving several difficulties in the sector by utilizing technology."

According to him, a number of issues, such as switching to lucrative crops, agricultural diversification, and doing away with middlemen in the selling of produce, are being addressed in a coordinated manner. "Scientists have contributed significantly to the field. Due to the government's pro-farmer policies, there has been exceptional progress in addition to the farmers' tireless labor."

In terms of the majority of agricultural products, the minister noted that India is ranked either first or second in the globe. "We should all strive to elevate it to a leader. We are currently meeting and will continue to meet the high expectations the world has for Indian food grains. While the government's and farmers' tireless efforts are unabated, agricultural research is a continuous endeavor."

The Post Graduate Diploma in Agri-Business Management students received degrees during the convocation, and the deserving students received medals from the union minister. With that, he presented grants and unveiled the products of startups that NIAM had taught and financed.

Also, a startup exhibition and product presentation were held, in which startups that NIAM had mentored and supported took part.

At the event, awards were given to NIAM's partner institutions based on their success in startup training and funding.

Along with opening the FPO Business School and Smart Class Room, Minister also unveiled the website for the Agri Innovation and Incubation Center and received an update on the Indo-German initiative. Nine NIAM publications were also made public at the ceremony.
