Yokohama Off-Highway Tires Launches Agri Star II R-I with Innovative Stratified Layer Technology for Tractor Owners

Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT) has recently unveiled the Agri Star II R-I, a new radial tire equipped with "Stratified Layer Technology" (SLT) that caters to the evolving demands of modern tractor owners. This innovative technology offers enhanced performance and addresses the concerns expressed by farmers regarding the lifespan and efficiency of agricultural tires.

The AGRI STAR II R-I tire is equipped with Stratified Layer Technology (SLT), which comprises two distinct layers. The top layer features a single-angle profile, while the bottom layer consists of a multi-angle profile. As the tire wears down by 40%, the bottom layer of the lug comes into contact with the ground, leading to an increased contact area at the central portion of the tire.

This results in enhanced roadability and improved overall performance. Additionally, the AGRI STAR II tire boasts increased rubber volume, providing enhanced stiffness and superior wear resistance. This, in turn, enhances the grip and roadability of the tire, providing better traction and manoeuvrability for the tractor.

Harinder Singh, President of APAC at YOHT, highlighted the customer-centric approach behind the development of the AGRI STAR II R-I tire. He emphasized that the tire was specifically designed to address the needs and concerns of farmers. The tire's extended lifespan and mid-life efficiency were identified as significant factors of concern among farmers, and the AGRI STAR II R-I with SLT directly addresses these issues.
