Yogi Adityanath Flags Off 77 Tractors For A Farm Machinery Bank In Lucknow

On March 6, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath flagged off 77 tractors for the Lucknow Farm Machinery Bank. The tractors were made available to sugarcane farmers as part of the programme.

"Today, 77 tractors are being made available to sugarcane farmers. Getting them such a gift on the eve of Holi will multiply their joy exponentially. We all know what the situation was like for farmers prior to 2014." UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated.

According to CM Yogi, no farmer in UP had become helpless and attempted suicide in the previous six years.

"We have freed the sugarcane farmers from the brokers' clutches," the CM continued, "and today the farmers do not have to wander around in search of the slip because their slip arrives on their smartphone."

He stated that tractors and other equipment are being delivered to the state's 77 sugarcane committees today. Receiving such a gift on the eve of Holi will double the happiness of a sugarcane farmer.

He went on to say that, thanks to mechanized farming, stubble is now mixed with the soil rather than being burned, which contributes significantly to the farm's fertility. Farming is progressing due to mechanization.

According to him, 105 of the state's 119 mills pay the sugarcane price within 10 days.

On the occasion were Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development Minister Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan, Minister of State Sanjay Singh Gangwar, Chief Secretary Durgashankar Mishra, Agricultural Production Commissioner Manoj Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Devesh Chaturvedi, and Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad.
