With Love For Sidhu Moosewala, Gurdaspur Farmer Buys HMT 5911 Tractor, Travels To Mansa To Meet The Late Singer's Father

Deeply rooted in the soil of Punjab, late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala always portrayed himself as a son of the soil. He felt more at ease driving tractors in his native village of Mansa than living abroad and traveling in upscale SUVs.

His favorite farming tractor was the HMT 5911 tractor, which also appeared in his songs. He was so attached to this tractor that after his death, his family drove his body to the cemetery on it.

Moosewala's father, Balkaur Singh, still drives the 5911 tractor around his mansion in memory of his son.
Meanwhile, following the death of Moosewala, these tractors became extremely popular in Punjab.

A young farmer from Gurdaspur recently purchased a new HMT 5911 tractor and delivered it to Sidhu Moosewala's home in Mansa. "I started farming as a result of Sidhu Moosewala's inspiration. "I bought his favorite tractor and instead of bringing it home, I came to Moosa village to seek the blessings of his father Balkaur Singh," Manjeet Singh explained.

Balkaur Singh became emotional after meeting Manjeet. "It is because of my son's good deeds that people remember him and come to meet us," Moosewala's father said.

One of the first singers to support farmers in their fight against farm laws before they even became laws and were in the form of bills was Sidhu Moosewala. He had begun taking part in demonstrations in Mansa and later took part in demonstrations at Delhi's borders.
