WayCool Foods Signs MoU with IIT Madras to Advance Regenerative Agriculture for Farmers in India

WayCool Foods, a leading food and agri-tech platform, has announced a strategic partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) to expand the offerings for farmers under IIT-M's pioneering Regenerative Agriculture Sustainable Architecture (RASA) tech stack. The company's deep domain knowledge in the agri supply chain, spanning from soil to sale, will be instrumental in strengthening the design and structure of the agri-stack. The partnership also emphasizes the importance of accumulating and disseminating knowledge among farmers regarding sustainable agricultural practices.

Karthik Jayaraman, the Managing Director of WayCool Foods, expressed his belief in the partnership, stating that the collaboration between WayCool Foods and IIT Madras will give farmers access to cutting-edge technologies. IIT Madras introduced the RASA Tech Stack in 2022, aiming to empower farmers with tools for monitoring and fine-tuning cultivation and harvesting processes to maximize yields. This comprehensive tech stack covers the entire farm-to-kitchen cycle, encompassing pre-cultivation, cultivation, harvest, storage/shipment, marketing, and payment. By leveraging sensor technology and data science techniques, the RASA stack has the potential to enhance crop yields, reduce waste, and increase farmers' income.
