Vellangallur: AKC Leads Way In Modernising Farmers By Using Drone-Assisted Spraying
The Regional Agricultural Research Station, Pattambi, created the micronutrient blend called Sampoorna specifically for paddy.

On Friday, farmers in Padiyur Poomangalam kole padashekaram under the Vellangallur block of the Thrissur district were shown how to spray Sampoorna multimix, developed by Kerala Agricultural University on paddy.
The Regional Agricultural Research Station, Pattambi, created the micronutrient blend called Sampoorna specifically for paddy. To encourage development and resistance in paddy crops, it contains micronutrients such as magnesium, zinc, sulfur, copper, boron, iron, manganese, and molybdenum in standard ratios.
The intervention was carried out as part of a production programme based on farm plans through the Vellangallur block-level Agricultural Knowledge Centre (AKC).
During the event, both Manuratna rice, grown on 9 acres of Manakkal kole, and Sreyas rice, grown on 6 acres of Paraykkal kole, were sprayed.
Aswathi Krishna R., Assistant Professor, Mohammed Harris, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Vellangallur; Jaliya M.K., AKC Nodal Officer; Rubeena C.M., Agricultural Officer, Padiyur; Research Assistants from the Communication Center at Kerala Agriculture University, Mannuthy; and representatives of Padashekara samadhi attended the programme.
