VAIGA 2023: Krishi Jagran Receives ‘Best Online Media for Reporting’ Award

VAIGA or Value Addition for Income Generation in Agriculture is a venture to showcase current and emerging national and international trends in technology, product diversification, processing, machinery, and marketing. On February 25, the Department of Agriculture officially started the 'VAIGA 2023' agricultural expo, which focuses to educate farmers and the general public on the newest agricultural practices.

At the closure of VAIGA 2023, organized by the Kerala Government Agriculture Department, VAIGA media awards were handed over in Thiruvananthapuram, wherein the leading Agri Media House ‘Krishi Jagran’ received the 'Best Online Media for Reporting' award.

Whereas, the Kerala Kaumudi reporter KS Sujilal was chosen as the best newspaper reporter. Media One channel was selected as the best visual media and Club 94.3 as the best FM channel. The VAIGA fair aims to advance the value-added chain in the agricultural industry. The newspapers 'Mathrubhumi' and 'Janayugom' also received awards for VAIGA 2023's finest publicity.

VAIGA’s mission is to safeguard the interest of farmers, ensure food and nutritional security, and support Kerala’s agricultural economy. It also works to achieve a targeted growth rate for the agriculture sector through the successful implementation of various schemes.
