This unique and successful initiative of IIM Kashipur is gaining traction in India, as the 2023 season has listed over 100 startups, with nearly 20 venture capitalists interested in investing. The Investors Meet and Entrepreneur's Conclave took place on Day 2 of Uttishtha 2023.

The 7th edition of Uttishtha 2023 - Annual Entrepreneurship Summit, hosted by IIM Kashipur FIED (Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development), is a colossal success. This initiative was supported by the Government of India's Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare which aims to add socioeconomic value to Uttarakhand's entrepreneur system by allowing raw entrepreneurs to dream big.

This unique and successful initiative of IIM Kashipur is gaining traction in India, as the 2023 season has listed over 100 startups, with nearly 20 venture capitalists interested in investing. The Investors Meet and Entrepreneur's Conclave took place on Day 2 of Uttishtha 2023.

"IIM Kashipur's FIED platform has gone to a big level, especially the 'Uttishtha," said Prof Kulbhushan Balooni, Director, IIM Kashipur. "We are making a socioeconomic impact in our home state by encouraging entrepreneurship with the help of the state and federal governments. The FIED team has incubated 140+ startups, with approximately 50 of these startups exceeding the Rs. 320 Cr mark and creating 1200+ jobs. We identified the right entrepreneurs and provided them with 360 support for them to create successful case studies."

The inaugural session of the Entrepreneur's Conclave was attended by prominent startup dignitaries. The keynote address was delivered by Rajat Jain, Founder of Sunfox; Nitin Jain, Co-Founder of OFBUSINESS; and Anubhav Dubey, Founder of Chai Sutta Bar. The conclave was made more interesting by a thoughtful panel discussion on 'How an Ecosystem Can Be Created in Uttarakhand State,' which featured different perspectives from marquee startup founders such as Subhadeep Sanyal of Omnivore, Monika Pandey of YourNest, Sachin Sheron of HBF Direct, and Manish Srivastava of Alphavalue.

Focusing on Agri Mela, the Directorate Industries Shri SC Nautiyal said, "I congratulate the IIM Kashipur FIED for making difference in the state's entrepreneurship journey. Agriculture entrepreneurship can undoubtedly bring about a paradigm shift in Uttarakhand." Satish Kaushik, GM of NABARD, also expressed his gratitude to the startups for establishing connections with FPOs in order to bring the larger marketplace to them.
