Updates To Xerion Tractor Line By CLAAS For 2023

CLAAS has announced 2023 updates to its Xerion 4WD tractor line, including powertrain upgrades and increased hydraulic flow.

The enhancements for 2023 will be available in TRAC or TRAC VC configurations on the Xerion 5000 and 4500 models. 

"We designed the XERION to be our customers' preferred choice for true tractor capability," says CLAAS tractor product manager Frans Reijmers. " The improvements to the 2023 models build on its core strengths and offer the power, improved design balance, and operator confidence that make taking on those demanding jobs that last all day easier than ever."

BUILT FOR IMPLEMENTS

The Xerion tractors are available in horsepower ratings ranging from 435 to 530. The updated models are powered by the brand-new Eccom 5.5 CVT, a 4-range CVT designed to transfer the engine's torque and power more efficiently. At low, fuel-saving rpm, these tractors can reach a top forward speed of 31 mph.

The new Eccom 5.5 tractors have more hydraulic flow than previous models. The Xerion is equipped with up to six double-acting rear spool valves and a brand-new pump transfer gearbox. Optional tandem pumps provide up to 111 gallons per minute of oil flow and are designed to work with high oil flow implements such as wide air seeders.

CLASS’ CEBIS touch display system allows you to prioritize up to two spool valves, or three with the optional tandem pump.

A separate 120-hp engine is available as an option. For attachments such as manure tanks and front-mounted implements that require high-horsepower hydraulics, a hydraulic system with 66 gallons per minute at 3,770 psi is available. On the Xerion models, a hydraulic dual-circuit trailer brake is also available.

BALLASTING

On the 2023 Xerion tractors, a new base weight plate for the multi-purpose carrier space behind the cab is also available. Up to 15,432 pounds of additional ballast weight can be loaded onto the tractor using the new system. The Xerion can be balanced for a 50/50 weight distribution depending on the application.
