To promote innovation and sustainability in agriculture, ATMA Niuland, under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Extension (SMAE), recently organized a week-long skill training program on farm mechanization. This program specifically targeted enthusiastic young individuals eager to contribute to the agricultural sector in Nagaland.

The training sessions were meticulously designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in utilizing modern machinery for efficient and sustainable farming practices. The overarching goal is to empower these aspiring farmers not only with skills but also to help them generate income through the adoption of advanced farming technologies.

Facilitated by experts from ATMA and seasoned professionals in the field of agriculture and farm mechanization, the training covered a range of essential topics. Among the resource persons were Assistant Technical Managers Hitokali Jimo, Mlato, Kaiho Achumi, Aketoli Chophy, and experienced machine operator Shikaho Sumi.

The hands-on nature of the program allowed participants to gain valuable insights into the practical aspects of farm mechanization. From understanding the intricacies of modern agricultural machinery to learning effective operational techniques, the training aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and on-field application.
