TRDM Set to Submit Joint Inspection Report on Aralam Farm, Findings on Settlement Interest Revealed
TRDM has been instructed to submit a report on joint inspection to identify the individuals who lack interest in resettling in Aralam Farm despite receiving land. This report is to be showcased infront of Janakiya Samithi (People's Committee).
Recently the Legislative Committee on Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Welfare of the Kerala Assembly has been particularly informed by The Tribal Resettlement and Development Mission (TRDM) of submitting reports on joint inspection being conducted by them this week. Their main target was to identify individuals who lack interest in resettling in Aralam Farm despite receiving land, those who have relocated their plots, and those who have encroached upon lands.
After deliberating on its recommendation during the village-level meeting, the joint inspection report will be presented to the Janakiya Samithi (People's Committee), chaired by the district panchayat president, as conveyed by the chairman and MLA O.R. Kelu. He proposed that the committee be provided with a copy of the report stated The District Tribal Officer.
Around 304 houses have been provided in addition, the District Tribal Officer provided information stating that instead of the 391 uninhabitable houses constructed by the State Nirmidhi Kendra in Aralam Farm during 2008-09, a total of 304 new houses have been allocated to address the issue of inadequate living conditions, including the absence of sanitation facilities. The Scheduled Tribe department was also requested to furnish a comprehensive report on these uninhabitable houses.

A District Disaster Committee meeting will be organized on June 1 which would focus on resolving issues regarding complaints filed in Thiruvangad village of Thalassery. The main issue was Taluk demanding the removal of soil from the north side of Kutimakul Atholimala to avoid any risks related to landslips and prevent major hazards.

Higher authorities including the committee members like N.A. Nellikunu, ADM K.K. Divakaran, V. Srinijin, District Collector S.Chandrasekhar, Asst. Collector Misal Sagar Bharat, etc attended this meeting.
