The Madhya Pradesh government is currently accepting applications for the purchase of tractors for farmers. Farmers in the general category will receive a subsidy of up to Rs. 75 thousand and farmers from SC/ ST category will get subsidy of Rs. 1 lakh. 

Farmers in the state can apply for tractor subsidies under this scheme. Today, through this Tractor News article, we are informing farmers about the Madhya Pradesh government's tractor subsidy scheme.

How much will be subsidized on a tractor purchase?

Farmers benefit from agricultural machinery subsidies under the Integrated Horticulture Development Mission Scheme, which is run by the Department of Horticulture and Food Processing in Madhya Pradesh. There is a provision in this that allows different categories of farmers to receive different subsidies on 20 HP tractors.

The scheme provides a 25% cost subsidy to general category farmers in Madhya Pradesh, up to a maximum of Rs 75,000 per unit. Whereas for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Women, Small and Marginal Farmers, a maximum of one lakh rupees per unit subsidy is provided.

Targets for 2021-22 and 2022-23 have been released.

The remaining target for the year 2021-22 and the target for the year 2022-23 under the Integrated Horticulture Development Mission (MIDH) scheme have been issued to farmers on tractors. The remaining targets for the years 2021-22, are to be implemented in 2022-23. His goal is 238. The general category has a target of 147, while the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, women, and small and marginal farmers have a target of 91.

At the same time, the number of targets for 2022-23 has been maintained at 20. A target of ten tractors for general category farmers and ten for scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, and women, small and marginal farmers has been set.

Farmers in these districts are eligible to apply.

The remaining tractors from last year's target have been released for 40 districts. 40 districts of the state can apply against the released targets: Applicants must be from Alirajpur, Ashoknagar, Agara, Indore, Ujjain, Khandwa, Khargone, Guna, Gwalior, Chhatarpur, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Jhabua, Tikamgarh, Dindori, Datia, Damoh, Dewas, Farmers of Dhar, Neemuch, Panna, Barwani, Burhanpur, from Betul, Bhopal, Mandsaur, Mandla, Ratlam, Rajgarh, Raisen, Rewa, Vidisha, Shajapur, Satna, Sagar, Singrauli, Sehore, Sidhi, Harda, or Hoshangabad.

Simultaneously, tractors of the general category will be distributed to farmers in nine districts for the fiscal year 2022-23. Gwalior, Datia, Ashoknagar, Guna, Chhindwara, Betul, Alirajpur, and Khargone are among the nine districts. Similarly, 10 tractors will be distributed to SC, ST, and women, small and marginal farmers in eight districts in 2022-23. Jhabua, Khandwa, Mandla, Dindori, Chhindwara, Betul, Dhar, Alirajpur, Khargone, and Ratlam are the districts involved.

Documents required for tractor subsidy applications

The following documents will be required when applying:

  • Aadhar card of the farmer applying
  • Photo of the farmer applying
  • Field papers containing Khasra No./B-1/Patta copy
  • Copy of bank passbook for bank details
  • Farmer's caste certificate
  • Farmer's residence certificate

Where and When to Apply 

To take advantage of the tractor subsidy scheme, eligible farmers in the state can apply online at the Madhya Pradesh Horticulture and Food Processing Department's website. From 10 a.m. on August 25, 2022, to 5 p.m. on September 5, 2022, applications can be made against the released target.
