The Only Way to Improve Productivity in Agriculture is Through is Farm Mechanization: Farid Ahmed

Krishi Jagran launched a new website tractornews.in and hosted a Webinar on Farm Mechanization. The main purpose of this platform is to provide the farmers with a digital window with detailed information and news on Agriculture Machinery/Equipment of various brands across the country.

Many eminent personalities from the industry including Farid Ahmed, Head Marketing (OHT)- APMEA, Apollo Tyres Ltd.- (the sponsor of the event) took part in the launch program.

Farid Ahmed Congratulated the Krishi Jagran team for the success it has seen in a short period of time because of its passion to work for the farming community. He said that technology gets developed in labs and universities but until it reaches the farmers – there’s no use of it and here media plays an important role. He added that among all agri inputs – Farm Mechanization is at the forefront as it helps the farmers in doubling their income. He also said that the only way to improve productivity is through is Farm Mechanization. 

At last, he said that Apollo is happy to be associated with Krishi Jagran team on this mission.

Farid Ahmed is a Group Manager- Marketing (OHT) at Apollo Tyres Ltd, he is also the Deputy General Manager - Asia, Middle East, Africa and is also the Head Marketing (OHT) - Asia Pacific Middle East, Africa at Apollo Tyres Ltd.

He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Management, in agribusiness from Govind Ballabh Pant Krishi Evam Praudyogik Vishwavidyalaya, and has completed his Bachelor’s in Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences from Gujarat Agricultural University. 

He has worked as a Group Manager Marketing - for Off-Highway Tyres (8 years 5 months) from August 2007. He has also worked as Product Manager at Agrochemicals (6 years 2 months) from June 2001 to July 2007, and due to his experience is skilled in Business Strategy, Management, Market Development, CRM, Market Research, Rural Marketing, Strategic Planning, Team Management, Agribusiness, Automotive
