Tamil Nadu Govt. To Provide ₹ 14,000 Crop Loan, Allocate ₹ 1,500 Crore For Allied Activities
Recently Tamil Nadu Government has announced the provision of ₹ 14,000 crop loans, and the allocation of ₹ 1,500 crores for allied activities has been sanctioned.

On March 21, Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, M.R.K. Panneerselvam told that Tamil Nadu government to provide ₹ 14,000 crop loans to farmers through cooperative societies. Provision of ₹ 1,500 crores for allied activities, for livestock farming which includes dairy farming, poultry, and fisheries.

Minister representing the Agriculture Budget in the Assembly also announced an allotment of ₹500 crores which will provide incentives at the rate of ₹100 and ₹75 per quintal for fine and bold varieties respectively.
He also addressed that in kharif marketing season from 2022-23, ₹27.23 lac tonnes of paddy was obtained from 3,73 lakh farmers. Around ₹5,778 was being disbursed.
It was also been declared that there will be the availability of machines in every village. An allotment of ₹500 crores with the assistance of NABARD to buy agriculture machinery through Primary Agricultural Co-Operative Credit Societies (PACCSs) was also announced.
The Minister also gave a detailed report for the previous Budget about areas between Tiruchi and Nagapattinam which were declared as Agro-Industrial Corridor. He gave a briefing on setting up the Corridor, this will enhance the income of farmers, improve the standard of living and create employment opportunities.
He also told that a regional startup hub would be established in Thanjavur by Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission which will boost agro-technological innovation in the region of Cauvery Delta.
