Tafe, a leading agricultural machinery company, is at the forefront of sustainable farming technology. The company unveiled two great innovations at the Agritechnica trade fair in Hannover, Germany: an electric tractor named the E30 and a hydrogen-powered concept tractor.

Showcasing the new E30, which is a black electric tractor from Tafe has shared exciting news that it will be up for sale after the summer of 2024. The E30 is a small 27 hp tractor with a lithium-ion battery and a two-speed transmission, letting it go from 0 to 10 km/h or 0 to 24 km/h.

The tractor can tackle heavy tasks for up to 4 hours on a single battery charge, such as mowing, and handle lighter duties for 10 to 12 hours. A fast charger can replenish almost the entire battery in an hour, while a standard charger takes five hours.

Equipped with hydrogen tanks strategically placed behind the seat and under the platform floor, the tractor demonstrates functionality.

The company remains at the forefront of transformative agricultural technology. Tafe acknowledged that while the tractor works, there are no immediate plans for commercialization due to the lack of ready infrastructure for hydrogen refueling.
