Sonia Gandhi Dances with Women Farmers, Extending Hospitality & Solidarity- Watch Video
The gesture of Sonia Gandhi and the visit of Rahul Gandhi to the paddy fields reflect the Congress party's continuous support for the farming community. Their actions demonstrate a commitment to engaging with farmers, understanding their challenges, and advocating for their rights.
In a heartwarming display of camaraderie and support, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi recently welcomed a group of women farmers from Haryana into her residence. A video capturing the moments of joyous interaction and dance has since gone viral on social media platforms. The group of women farmers were the very same individuals with whom senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had engaged during his visit to the paddy fields in Madina village, Sonepat.
On July 8, during Rahul Gandhi's visit, some of the women farmers expressed their desire to see his house in Delhi. In response, Rahul Gandhi shared his personal setback of being disqualified from the Lok Sabha and consequently being evicted from his official residence in the capital. However, Sonia Gandhi extended a warm invitation to the women farmers, arranging transportation and hosting them for a delightful lunch at her residence.
Congress functionary Ruchira Chaturvedi shared the video of the interaction and lunch with Sonia Gandhi, expressing her admiration for the event on Twitter. Chaturvedi mentioned, "Chaturvedi stated that the women farmers from Haryana had expressed their wish to Rahul Gandhi to visit Delhi and see his house. In response, Rahul Gandhi informed them that his house had been taken away by the government."
The video captures the joyous moments shared between Sonia Gandhi and the women farmers, as they danced together in celebration. The exchange of smiles, laughter, and a sense of solidarity highlighted the bond between the women farmers and the Congress party.

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi took to social media to share his own experience with the farmers. He posted a video documenting his visit to the paddy fields in Sonepat, Haryana. In the video, Rahul Gandhi can be seen engaging in conversations with farmers and their families, actively participating in the farming activities, and later sharing a meal with them on a string cot.
In his social media post, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the significance of farmers as the strength of India. He expressed that by listening to their perspectives and understanding their concerns, many of the country's problems could be effectively addressed. Rahul Gandhi particularly appreciated the hard work and determination of the farmers, highlighting their commitment to standing against unjust agricultural laws and advocating for fair prices and insurance coverage.
