Sonalika Tractors Announces Rs 1,300 Crore Massive Expansion Plan in Punjab

Sonalika Tractors, a leading player in the agricultural machinery sector, has announced a whopping investment of Rs 1,300 crore for expanding its manufacturing facility in Punjab. The company is gearing up to fortify its operations with the introduction of two new plants, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey.

The cornerstone of this expansion was laid down by none other than the honourable Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, underscoring the state's support towards fostering industrial growth. Sonalika Tractors is set to invest Rs 1000 crore in erecting a state-of-the-art tractor assembly plant, aimed at bolstering its export capabilities. Additionally, a sum of Rs 300 crore will be channelled into setting up a cutting-edge high-pressure foundry.

The new tractor assembly facility holds immense promise, with a dedicated focus on meeting the company's burgeoning export demands. Once fully operational, it is expected to augment Sonalika's annual production capacity by a whopping 1 lakh tractors, a testament to the company's commitment to scaling new heights.

In tandem with the tractor assembly plant, Sonalika Tractors is embarking on the establishment of DRAS, a high-pressure foundry plant engineered by Japanese experts. Upon completion, DRAS will emerge as the largest casting facility in North India, promising to revolutionize the production process.

Dr. Amrit Sagar Mittal, Vice Chairman of Sonalika Tractors, expressed his optimism about the forthcoming investments, highlighting their pivotal role in consolidating the company's stature as the world's largest tractor-manufacturing facility. He lauded the government's unwavering support, particularly its streamlined approach to facilitating new projects, which has fostered an environment conducive to business growth and innovation.

The incorporation of the German-made Kunkel Wagner high-pressure moulding line underscores Sonalika's commitment to delivering top-notch products to its discerning customers.
