Up To 50 Percent Subsidy To Farmers On Purchase Of Reaper Machine

Under the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme, the Bihar Agriculture Department provides farmers with a 40 to 50 percent subsidy on the purchase of automatic reapers and tractor-operated reapers. In other words, financial assistance of up to Rs 60,000 is provided, so that the Kharif crop can be stored and managed before the onset of bad weather.

The Subsidy Provided For The Purchase Of A Reaper Machine

The Government of Bihar provides farmers with agricultural machinery subsidies through the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme. Farmers receive a 40 to 50 percent partial subsidy on the purchase of automatic reapers and tractor-operated reapers under this program.

Farmers in the general category will receive a 40% subsidy or a maximum grant of up to 50,000 rupees for automatic reapers, while SC-ST, women, and small-marginal farmers will receive a 50% subsidy or a maximum grant of 60,000 rupees.

Similarly, on tractor-driven reapers, farmers in the general category will receive a 40% subsidy or up to a maximum of Rs 25,000, while SC-ST, women, and small-marginal farmers will receive a 50% subsidy or partial subsidy up to a maximum of Rs 30,000.
