Punjab : Farmers To Receive Constant Electric Supply During Paddy Seasons

Throughout the paddy season, the state government will guarantee a constant supply of electricity to the farmers. Lakhbir Singh Rai, a Fatehgarh Sahib MLA, stated that the government will also make sure that farmers used contemporary technologies to make agriculture profitable while addressing the crowd at the district-level Kisan Mela that the Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Department conducted today in Attewali village.

The farmers received a constant electricity supply throughout the wheat season as well.

According to the minister, farmers in Punjab would receive a constant supply of electricity during the wheat and paddy seasons for the first time ever. He was grateful for the state's farming community because it contributed to the nation's food independence.

However, this had been accomplished at the expense of subsurface water being depleted, which could result in them suffering significant losses in the future. According to him, the Fatehgarh Sahib constituency will conduct a rainwater recharging project, drill new wells in rural areas, and restart old ones so that water could be used for other reasons. He also advised the farmers to start side enterprises in order to succeed financially.

Farmer fairs are crucial for educating the farming population about current technology, according to Deputy Commissioner Parneet Shergill. Farmers can experience successful farming by paying attention to the advice of the agricultural professionals at these fairs. She stated that every grain will be procured and that the procurement of wheat had begun in the district's mandis. She pleaded with the farmers to avoid using combines to harvest the produce between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. since it enhanced wetness.
