Punjab: Agri Minister Launches Farmer’s Helpline To Lodge Complaint Regarding Field Inspection To Assess Crop Loss

The minister added that the complaint made on this number will be seriously considered, and prompt action would be done. He gave his word that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann would keep his pledge to farmers to reimburse them for crop losses on Baisakhi.

In order to analyze crop damage due to bad weather, Punjab Agricultural Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Saturday introduced a helpline number and urged farmers to use it to file complaints if they observed any unfair practices.

Dhaliwal said that he is personally overseeing the ongoing "girdawari" operation by going to farms.

He promised that the state government would fully compensate farmers for agricultural losses brought on by unfavorable weather.

"My goal is for every farmer to receive fair remuneration, but if any farmer is experiencing improper or unfair behaviour during the "girdawari" process, he or she should file a complaint immediately at 9309388088, according to a statement from Dhaliwal here.

He added that WhatsApp can be used to file complaints at this number.

In several sections of Punjab, wheat and other crops have been devastated by untimely rainfall, hailstorms, and strong winds.
