Prevailing Summer- PM Modi Assists Preparedness In Meeting
In recent meeting, remedies, and strategies were being discussed for tackling hot weather.
A high-level meeting was conducted on Monday. Recently a meeting related to preparedness for hot weather was being discussed at Prime Minister‘s residence. In the meeting, the officials were been directed to keep records and track the availability of fodder and water levels in the water reservoirs.
Prime Minister also instructed the officials to introduce new ways and awareness to deal with hot weather. They were also told to release daily weather resorts through which assumptions can be properly done.
This meeting was been attended by the Principal Secretary, Cabinet Secretary, Home Secretary, Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare, Ministry Of Earth Sciences, and National Disaster Management Authority.
The Prime Minister's Office told that “PM was enlightened upon India Meteorological Department’s weather forecast for the next few months and events related to normal monsoon”. PM Modi also addressed the effects and impacts of hot weather on Rabi crops and their yield production rate. Simultaneously different methods should be introduced to monitor irrigation water supply, fodder, and drinking water.
Further, the PMO statement also included updates on various measures taken across the country for preparing for different disaster occurrences and mitigation strategies.
Food Corporation Of India was being instructed on different strategies for optimal storage of food grain in extreme weather conditions. It was discussed that remedies and strategies to be made for tackling forest fires.
The officials also said that Prime Minister asked IMD to issue daily weather reports and daily alerts set to every region. Using different Social Media platforms, introducing pamphlets, posts, and children to be sensitized and awareness to spread among citizens to necessarily take actions to tackle hot weather situations.
TV Channels and FM Radio were also included to create awareness and address the protocols to overcome extreme weather conditions.
