Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSK) to Become Comprehensive Support Hubs for Indian Farmers
This transformation represents a significant step forward in the government's efforts to modernize and enhance the support systems available to Indian farmers. The expanded services offered by PMKSKs will contribute to increased efficiency, productivity, and overall prosperity in the agricultural sector.

In a significant development, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSK) is poised to evolve into comprehensive one-stop shops, providing an array of services to farmers across India. The transformation aims to streamline and centralize various agricultural requirements, making it more convenient and accessible for farmers.
Apart from the conventional offerings of seeds, pesticides, and fertilizers, PMKSKs will expand their scope to include vital services such as soil testing, local-level weather forecasts, nutrient supply awareness, and insights into crop procurement prices and market fluctuations. These centers will serve as information hubs, ensuring that farmers are well-informed about various aspects of their agricultural practices.
P. Bhaskar Reddy, Senior Associate Vice-President of Coromandel International Limited, elaborated on the features of PMKSK during a recent media visit to the center in Kodumur, Kurnool district. He emphasized that PMKSKs would also engage the expertise of scientists from agricultural centers and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK) to offer guidance and counseling on pest and disease management.
The scope of this initiative is vast, with the company working on establishing 12,000 KSKs throughout India. Of these, 4,500 will be located in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, highlighting the commitment to bolster agricultural support in these regions.
