In a major event in Jharkhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to unveil the 15th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme today. This occasion, known as 'Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas,' honors the efforts of tribal communities in preserving cultural heritage and upholding Indian values of national pride, courage, and hospitality.

Over eight crore farmers are to benefit from this installment, receiving a total of more than ₹18,000 crore, equating to ₹2,000 each, under the BJP's flagship initiative.

The PM-KISAN scheme is a major step towards agricultural progress in India. The PM-KISAN scheme was launched in 2019 to provide income support to all landholding farmers in the country.  The scheme is helping to improve the lives of millions of farmers and is playing a vital role in the development of the Indian economy.

Highlighting the significance of this release, Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh pointed out the deliberate delay in the 15th installment to coincide with elections, contrasting with previous releases in 2022, 2021, and 2020 on different dates.
