PAU Invites Young Farmers for Integrated Crop Production Training: Apply by Dec 25

Punjab Agricultural University's Skill Development Center invites young farmers to join a three-month training program on integrated crop production, promoting job security and responsible resource use. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications by the 25th of December, seizing this valuable opportunity to boost their agricultural skills and contribute to sustainable farming practices.

The Skill Development Center at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is welcoming young farmers from Punjab to enroll in a three-month training program focused on "integrated crop production" running from January 1 to March 29. The primary aim is to ensure job security for participants and encourage responsible use of resources.

Eligible applicants, aged 20-40 with a matriculation certificate, have the opportunity to enhance their agricultural skills. Rupinder Kaur Toor, Associate Director of Skill Development, highlighted the significance of this initiative in empowering rural youth, ultimately boosting their productivity and profitability in the agriculture sector.

For all interested candidates, application forms are available at Krishi Vigyan Kendras in respective districts or PAU's Skill Development Center. Alternatively, candidates can apply online through PAU's official website at www.pau.edu. as informed by Rupinder Kaur.

The deadline for applications is December 25, and interviews are scheduled for December 29 at 10 am at the Skill Development Center. During the interview, candidates are required to bring both original and photocopies of their matriculation certificates, age proof, and Aadhaar card.

Toor noted that selected candidates will be asked to submit a refundable ₹1,000 security fee, returned upon successful completion of the training. The course fee is ₹1,000, and for accommodation, there's a monthly charge of ₹300. The initiative equips young farmers with valuable skills and plays a crucial role to enhance their overall economic well-being.
