Ahead of the high-profile summit at Delhi's Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in Pragati Maidan, Delhi's police are leaving no area unguarded, ensuring comprehensive security coverage.
As the highly anticipated G20 summit is just around the corner on September 9 and 10, the New Delhi district is abuzz with preparations to ensure top-notch security for the high-profile event. The Delhi Police are leaving no stone unturned in their commitment to safeguarding the summit, set to take place at the prestigious Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre within Pragati Maidan in the heart of Delhi.
In light of the forthcoming G20 summit, the Delhi Police have implemented a robust security plan, deploying thousands of their dedicated personnel across the national capital. Extensive drills and strategically placed pickets have been employed in key areas to boost security measures. Moreover, the police are employing innovative tactics in challenging terrains.
A captivating video has surfaced online showcasing a Delhi Police team patrolling the Raj Ghat area on a tractor, providing an unusual yet effective method of surveillance. As they traverse the dirt roads near the memorial complex dedicated to the revered Mahatma Gandhi, the picturesque Yamuna River flows peacefully by their side.

Shahdra DCP in-charge, Harsh Indora, shared insights into the comprehensive security measures in place. He emphasized that a wide array of preventive actions against potential miscreants are actively being executed, including rigorous regular checks.
Additionally, the police are conducting frequent combined operations in the proximity of the Yamuna Khadar area, which borders the Raj Ghat venue. To further enhance their readiness, tear gas practice sessions have been conducted, ensuring swift and efficient responses to any unforeseen situations.
The stage is set at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre, nestled within the iconic Pragati Maidan in Delhi, where leaders from around the world will convene for this pivotal summit. Earlier in the day, the Indian Army conducted an anti-sabotage mock drill, underscoring the collective commitment to ensuring the safety and success of the G20 Summit in Delhi.

India assumed the G20 presidency on December 1 of the previous year, marking a significant milestone in its role on the global stage.
