Tomar stated that the government research organization ICAR might benefit from industry feedback to enhance the transfer of its technologies from the lab to the field.
On Monday, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar stated that the government research organization ICAR might benefit from industry feedback to enhance the transfer of its technologies from the lab to the field.
Speaking at an event, Tomar stated that more than 100 institutes connected to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) have different agricultural facilities that can be shared for the benefit of the general population. The minister was cited as saying at the occasion, "If feedback is received on how the industry may implement the research done by ICAR, how to move it ahead by complementing each other..., then the delivery would improve.
He noted that to overcome the present global difficulties facing agriculture, farmers, and industry must collaborate in addition to filling gaps in the agricultural sector. India has made significant strides in the agricultural sector, but there are still numerous obstacles to overcome, according to Tomar. For the agriculture sector to contribute more to boosting the nation's economy, it is necessary to recognize these issues and work towards their resolution, he said. In addition, he continued, there is a need to work strategically, expanding beyond traditional agriculture, and to utilize technology fully, from the lab to the field.
The statement said that scientists affiliated with ICAR have conducted a great deal of outstanding research that is helpful for the nation and the world today.
