On Sunday, My Family Farmer, an NGO based in the city, organized a workshop and exhibition on organic farming at the Lodhi Club to celebrate World Health Day.

The event showcased various organic products from six farmers, and featured workshops conducted by three doctors and specialists who aimed to promote the benefits of organic farming.

The event was graced by the presence of Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik and Civil Surgeon Dr. Hitendar Kaur, who presided as the chief guests.

During the workshop, farmers were informed about the impact of pesticides on newborns, as well as the importance of consuming seasonal and natural vegetables that cater to the needs of our bodies and the climate. Various organic farmers, including Surinder Singh from Ganganagar, Nawroop Singh from Fazilka, and Rupinder Kaur from Pakhowal, along with home chefs Rooh Chowdhury and Teena Gupta, exhibited their products.
