Meghalaya- CM Unveils Kyiem Village's First Bio Fertilizer Unit for Organic Farming Boost
The plant's inauguration aims to align the biofertilizer facility with the state's drive to shift towards organic farming, reinforcing the government's initiative.
In a recent event, Conrad K Sangma, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, unveiled the State's inaugural bio fertilizer facility situated in Kyiem village, settled within the East Khasi Hills district. This significant step showcases Meghalaya's commitment to sustainable farming practices.
This pioneering plant has a dual purpose, mainly to champion the adoption of organic farming techniques, and to guarantee a steady provision of natural fertilizers. By introducing this bio-fertilizer unit, Meghalaya aims to pave the way for a more environmentally friendly and healthier approach to agriculture.
During the inaugural event, Conrad K Sangma underscored the unit's crucial function in driving the advancement of the state's organic farming campaign. He highlighted that the biofertilizer plant serves as a concrete example of the state government's determined voyage towards adopting organic agricultural methods, reflecting a balanced existence with the natural world.

The Chief Minister shared his confidence in the fact that the recently established bio-fertilizer plant will be instrumental in fulfilling the evolving needs of not just the immediate region but the entire state.
