Meghalaya CM Launches Farmers' Parliament to Honor Hardworking Farmers
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma launched the Farmers' Parliament, a special initiative to honor hardworking farmers. The program aims to recognize their contributions and highlight government support for agricultural improvement.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma took excellent steps by kicking off the Farmers’ Parliament on Monday, a special initiative designed to honor and appreciate the hard work put in by farmers. The primary goal of this distinctive program is to acknowledge the priceless contributions of farmers and to showcase the support from the government to improve their lives within the agricultural domain.
When Chief Minister Sangma spoke at the parliament, he pointed out how skilled farmers are in what they do out in the fields. He stressed the big need for strong support in things like storage, transportation, money help, and rules to not just make farming a money-making gig but also something that people find appealing.
The chief minister shed light on the Regeneration Meghalaya program, an agroforestry initiative he had previously launched, emphasizing that it is just one component of a broader goal and objective aimed at transforming the farming landscape. Sangma stressed the importance of addressing challenges prevalent in the farming sector to ensure sustainable growth.
