Mahindra Susten Partners with Waaree Energies for 280 MW Solar Panel Deal Boosting Solar Power in India

In a significant move for India's renewable energy sector, Waaree Energies Limited, a leading solar PV module manufacturer, has partnered with Mahindra Susten, a key player in the renewable energy field. This collaboration aims to supply 280 MW of solar modules, marking a substantial step towards enhancing clean energy production in India.

As per the agreement, Waaree Energies will supply Mahindra Susten with 280 MW of its AHNAY Series solar modules, specifically the Bi-55 545Wp models. These modules are known for their high efficiency and durability, designed to produce more energy over their lifetime. The delivery of these modules is expected to happen in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025.

The solar modules that Waaree Energies will supply are bifacial Glass-to-Glass, offering an extended output performance warranty of 30 years. This feature underscores the company's commitment to producing long-lasting, efficient energy solutions.

Hitesh Doshi, the Chairman & Managing Director of Waaree Energies, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing its importance in advancing India's transition to clean energy. He highlighted the collaboration as a testament to their mission of promoting sustainable energy solutions through strategic alliances.

Deepak Thakur, Managing Director & CEO of Mahindra Susten, also shared his excitement about the partnership. He pointed out that Waaree Energies' 'Made-in-India' solar modules align with their commitment to the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative, which aims to make India self-reliant in various sectors, including renewable energy. Thakur noted Mahindra Susten's dedication to developing renewable energy projects and its role in powering the nation with clean, sustainable energy.

Mahindra Susten has a notable track record in the renewable energy sector, having developed over 1.5 GWp of renewable assets and executed more than 4.2 GWp of renewable projects both in India and internationally.

Recently, Waaree Energies achieved another milestone by obtaining certification for its Topcon Modules from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This certification, which covers glass-to-back sheet modules with a capacity of up to 625Wp, further establishes Waaree Energies as a leader in the solar energy industry, committed to delivering high-quality, certified products.
