Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the Mahindra Group, announced its tractor sales report for April 2025 on May 1, 2025. The company recorded domestic sales of 38,516 units, marking an increase from 35,805 units in April 2024.

Overall tractor sales, including exports, reached 40,054 units in April 2025, compared to 37,039 units in the same month last year. Export figures stood at 1,538 units, reflecting a 25% year-on-year growth.

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President of FES at Mahindra & Mahindra, attributed the growth to a successful harvest season, high retail demand during Chaitra Navratri, favourable crop prices, and strong procurement activity in mandis, which have strengthened farmers’ cash flow. He also highlighted that the Indian Meteorological Department’s forecast of an above-normal southwest monsoon is a promising sign for the agriculture sector and the tractor market. Financing availability has also remained stable, further supporting demand.
