Mahindra & Mahindra Set to Launch New Lightweight Swaraj Tractors Platform

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is set to introduce a new platform for their range of lightweight Swaraj tractors, according to an announcement made on May 26. This move marks the entry of Swaraj into a new segment, which will include specialized spraying and inter-culture application products. M&M aims to cater to the specific needs of farmers with these advanced offerings.

The company is focused on delivering innovative solutions to the agricultural sector, and the introduction of this new platform is a testament to their commitment.

The launch of this platform is scheduled for June 2, and it will serve as the foundation for 25-horsepower and 29-horsepower engine tractors. In addition to a fresh design, the tractors on this platform will come equipped with enhanced features, as stated by Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director at M&M, during a press conference.

Moreover, M&M also revealed that its highly anticipated Oja platform, previously known as codename K2, is set to make its global debut on August 15 of this year. While primarily targeted at the Indian market, the company has designed the platform with a global perspective in mind.

Jejurikar expressed confidence in the Oja platform, stating that it is the most technologically advanced global tractor platform to date. As part of this initiative, Mahindra has developed four distinct platforms that will be branded under the Mahindra Oja name.
