Maharashtra Govt Approves Rs 21.9 Crore To Establish 14 Agricultural Projects In Latur
These initiatives will involve the construction of warehouses, sanitation and grading units, and dal mills at different locations throughout the district.
The government of Maharashtra has approved funding of Rs. 21.99 crores to establish fourteen agricultural initiatives in the Latur district.
These initiatives will involve the construction of warehouses, sanitation and grading units, and dal mills at different locations throughout the district.
The government is working on the Balasaheb Thackeray Agricultural Business and Rural Transformation (SMART) project to establish a comprehensive and competitive value chain for agricultural products in the state. This initiative aims to enhance the development of rural areas and transform the agricultural sector.
Efforts are underway to establish a complete and competitive value chain that can enhance the producer's share in the price that consumers pay for their products.
To that end, six farmer producer companies have received a grant of Rs 4.96 crore under the 14 sub-projects planned for Latur.
The district's grain-based sub-projects have been prioritized since soybean and gram are significant crops there.
