Ludhiana Will Host The Agri Progress Expo From January 20-22, 2023

Ludhiana Exhibition Centre in Punjab's Sahnewal city is all set to host an international exhibition on agricultural machinery and dairy technology from January 20-22, 2023.

The three-day Agri Progress Expo will be held in Ludhiana from January 20-22 by the Punjab State Agriculture Implement Manufacturer Association (PSAIMA) in collaboration with Udan Media and Communication Pvt Ltd. as well as it is supported by the Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association (AMMA, India).

The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), the Bureau of Indian Standards, the central Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and the Indian Council for Agricultural Research are all assisting with the organization of the expo.

As per Baldev Singh, chairman of the PSAIMA, India Agri Progress Expo-2023 will serve as a one-stop forum for farmers to experience the latest technological products that will help them improve their capabilities.

"We all know that the Indian government supports farmers and agriculture in several ways. So, by organizing this exhibition, we are also taking a step forward in promoting agriculture industries, and the level of agriculture will increase as newer technologies are developed," he said.

"The exhibitors will show machinery that will help farmers manage their crops and dairy products," said Sarabjeet Singh, AMMA secretary.

"Here, technology such as drones, irrigation systems, and stubble management equipment will be on display," he commented further.

"Because the government of India has declared 2023 as the year of millets," said Dr. Rajveer Singh of the ICAR, "we will use this platform to create awareness about the uses and benefits of the millet crop."

Dr. Mahesh Narang of PAU also emphasized the importance of promoting millet cultivation, which he claims has declined significantly since the green revolution.

According to G S Dhillon, managing director of Udan Media and Communication Pvt Ltd, the expo will feature 200 manufacturers from India displaying their latest agricultural and allied products. More than 3,000 products, including combines, tractors, super seeders, straw reapers, laser levelers, threshers, power tillers, disc harrows, and sprayers, would be on display. Prom highest-quality dairy equipment and food processing machinery would also be on display.

"We are confident that this exhibition will assist Indian SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) in upgrading their industry and will be a helpful step towards our dream of "Make in India," he said.

According to Dhillon, the expo will be open to farmers, dealers, and distributors from various agricultural and dairy segments.

"We anticipate 50,000 people to attend this magnificent show. There are about 2,000 dealers and distributors present. A shuttle service from Sherpur Chowk to the exhibition center will be provided for dealers and distributors," he added.
