Kubota has released a new generation of its M7 tractors, the M7-134, M7-154 and M7-174. Their introduction is meant to maintain their engine horsepower ratings of 128 to 168. These models are powered by a 6124 cc diesel engine developed in-house.

Morgan Ludwig, Kubota’s livestock tractor product manager, emphasized that the new M7 generation upholds Kubota's performance standards, with added benefits.

These tractors offer the same horsepower ratings as the previous generation but with improved operator comfort and new features for productivity in a range of operations including haying, loader work, and small- to mid-sized row crop farming. One of the key new features is the LM2606 front-end loader, which has been redesigned for longer wear life and improved performance.

Ben Sandercock, field product manager for Kubota Canada, highlighted the loader's redesign, maintaining high-lift capacity, and featuring improved bushings for extended wear life and service intervals. The loader's performance has increased from a 10-hour service interval to 30 hours.

The LM2606 loader can lift 2,620 kilograms to a height of 4.24 meters and features Kubota's Shock-less Ride System for a smoother ride over rough terrain. The loader is controlled by a new multi-function joystick arrangement that also includes a shuttle shift for forward and reverse. Semi-powershift-equipped M7 models also have a brake-to-neutral feature that stops the tractor without using the clutch when the operator applies the brake. Additionally, they feature a standard electronic parking brake.

The M7s can be ordered in premium or deluxe versions. CVT transmissions are an option on the premium models. The other transmission option is a semi-powershift with on-the-go gear changes in six ranges. With the new multi-speed steering control feature, operators can also select the level of steering sensitivity by changing the number of steering wheel turns required to go from lock to lock and the M7s now comes autosteer-ready from the factory.

To enhance connectivity, all new Gen 4 M7s come fully equipped for telematics, according to Sandercock. The M7s are backed by a four-year, 4,000-hour warranty program, and new purchases can benefit from reduced interest rate incentives.
