‘Kubota’ Mini Excavator to Assist Canacona Farmers

Atmanirbhar Shetkari Society along with the zonal agriculture office, Canacona, has launched the ‘Kubota’ mini excavator for making farming easier. “The department is constantly looking forward to new ways to improve farmers’ satisfaction and has provided the Atmanirbhar Shetkari Society Canacona in getting the benefit of a `14 lakhs subsidy under RKVY,” said Canacona ZAO Kirtiraj Naikgaonkar

Kritiraj Naikgaunkar, Zonal agriculture officer, Canacona said Kubota mini excavator is efficient for various agricultural activities including digging trenches in gardening or plantations, bench terracing, land levelling, cleaning shrubs and bushes, digging pits, and many more.  

The Zonal agriculture officer added that he is looking forward to exploring new and innovative farming equipment to assist Canacona’s farmers.

He said,” Kubota will be a boon for farmers as it is very compatible with narrow roads and margins and is highly capable of executing work in a labor less manner. 5 hectares of the area of Mallikarjun Devasthan property has been recently developed using the mini excavator and many other farmers have utilized the benefits of the excavator.”

He added,” The excavator is a great advantage for farmers, especially from the south. And interested farmers can contact the Zonal agriculture office, Canacona for pre-booking”.
