Krishi Sanyantra Mela 2023- Day 2 Focused On Modern Farm Techniques And Machinery
On 26th March, the Krishi Sanyantra Mela marked its successful 2nd day of the agriculture fair that was being held in Kuruda, Balasore. Many exhibitors had established displays to exhibit new farming equipment, fertilizers, and seeds. Experts from various fields of agriculture were also on hand to offer advice and share their experiences with the farmers.
Krishi Sanyantra Mela 2023 offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with the Odisha state's 10000+ farmers and other key stakeholders in the country's food and agriculture system.
On 26th March, the Krishi Sanyantra Mela marked its successful 2nd day of the agriculture fair that was being held in Kuruda, Balasore. Many exhibitors had established displays to exhibit new farming equipment, fertilizers, and seeds. Experts from various fields of agriculture were also on hand to offer advice and share their experiences with the farmers.
Several notable figures in agriculture were mentioned, including Professor HK Patra, the Dean of Agriculture College at OUAT Bhubaneswar, Dr. Swagatika Sahu, the Senior Scientist and Head of KVK Balasore, Dr. Arvind Das, the Senior Scientist and Head of KVK Bhadrak, and Dr. Sanghamitra Patnaik, the Senior Scientist and Head of KVK Mayurbhanj.
The Krishi Sanyantra Mela began with two informative sessions. STIHL/SANY Industries led the first session, which focused on Better Agricultural Machinery & Equipment. WO W Motors/Ware Energies KISAN led the second session. During the event, more than 50 farmers were honored for their outstanding contributions to agriculture.
A panel discussion had been conducted to deliberate on the ways to double farmers' income through sustainable agricultural practices and technology. The discussion was informative and enlightening, as it shed light on various methods and strategies that farmers could adopt to enhance their income and ensure sustainable agriculture.
The fair commenced the third technical session on tractor maintenance, conducted by Gandhar oil. After the session concluded, 50 farmers were felicitated for their outstanding contribution to agriculture. On the second day of the fair, several crucial discussions could benefit farmers significantly. These discussions focused on various topics and were expected to offer useful insights and practical tips to farmers to improve their agricultural practices.
The event attracted a large number of farmers who were eager to learn about the latest farming techniques and equipment.
