On May 3rd, 2023, as part of ‘AazadiKaAmritMahostav’, the Union Cabinet Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Shri Parshottam Rupala, officially launched the Nationwide AHDF KCC Campaign for 2023-24 via virtual mode. During the event, he engaged with beneficiaries of AHDF-KCC who are connected through CSC and the State Animal Husbandry Department.

This initiative aims to extend KCC facilities to small landless farmers involved in animal husbandry and fisheries activities, thereby promoting their growth and development.

The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries and the Department of Financial Services, has initiated a "Nationwide AHDF KCC Campaign" from May 1st, 2023 to March 31st, 2024, to extend the benefits of the Kisan Credit Card to all eligible farmers engaged in animal husbandry, dairy, and fishery across the country.

The circular containing comprehensive guidelines for conducting this campaign was issued to the States on March 13th, 2023. Furthermore, instructions regarding the same have also been communicated to the banks and State Governments by the Department of Financial Services.

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, in collaboration with the Department of Financial Services, has launched a series of campaigns since June 2020 aimed at providing Kisan Credit Cards to eligible Animal Husbandry and Fishery Farmers. As a result, over 27 lakh new KCCs were granted to these farmers, enabling them to access credit and meet their working capital needs.

The most recent nationwide AHDF KCC Campaign took place from November 15, 2021, to March 15, 2023. During this campaign, KCC Coordination Committees, led by the Lead District Manager (LDM), organized weekly District Level KCC Camps to review applications submitted by farmers through officials from State Animal Husbandry and Fisheries departments.
