Seek to have the police taken action by stopping them at the gate of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha

Congress leaders arrived in Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi on a tractor on December 16. They were on their way to Suvarna Vidhana Soudha to attend the fourth day of the Karnataka parliamentary winter session. They are led by the president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee D.K. Shivakumar and Congress Legislature Party leader Siddaramaiah.
While MPs were allowed to enter, their supporters were stopped by security guards at the gate.
Later, members of Congress in the Legislature demanded that action be taken against the police for preventing Congress leaders, who arrived by tractor, from entering Suvarna Soudha on December 16.
Opposition leader S.R. Patil said police did not allow tractors inside Suvarna Soudha. "Tractors are the cars of our farmers. Why are you arguing with the tractors? The police wanted us to get off the tractors and go in the police cars. Are they accused of driving their cars?"
Minister of Justice and Parliament J.C. Madswamy said police had been instructed to allow tractors where the legislators were traveling inside Suvarna Soudha. "However, there may be some disconnection, it happened by mistake," the minister said.
However, Mr. Patil was not sure. He pointed out that during the legislature that was under the chairmanship of the Council. If members were not allowed to participate in the proceedings, it was nothing but an act of disrespect to the House and a violation of the rights of members. "The police must be punished for their actions," he said.
