J&K: ACS Flag- Off Consignment to Gurez of Vegetable Seedlings Under HADP
The Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Atal Dulloo flagged- off a consignment of vegetable seedlings under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). This initiative was taken to boost the agriculture sector and increase profits from the vegetable sector, especially in regions of J&K.
Recently the Department of Information and Public relation of Jammu and Kashmir in their official statement discussed the flagged-off of a consignment of vegetable seedlings of brinjal, tomato, chilies, kale, saag, red cabbage, green cabbage for Gurez under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). It was flagged off by Atal Dulloo on Saturday, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department.
In his statement, ACS added that the main aim of the consignment was the vertical and horizontal expansion of vegetable cultivation. Excessive efforts are being made to add immense value and to create wider reach in several areas of J&K. Also several initiatives have been executed to boost the agriculture sector in parts of Gurez.

Additionally, he told that the government is trying to give its best towards developing agriculture and allied sector in all regions of J&K. Infact vegetable cultivation has a major role that can provide immense benefits and boost the socio-economy and improve the living standards of concerned farmers.

ACS also told that the practice of commercial vegetable farming is economic prosperity and will play a major role in increasing profits.
"The promotion of vegetable or exotic vegetables under open and hi-tech protected cultivation is one among 29 projects taken and approved by the government," he added.
Those projects under HADP especially the vegetable sector are expected to provide huge profits, infact it can revolutionize agriculture, especially the vegetable sector in J&K, he added.
