J&K- ACS Conducted Meeting, Discussed Strategies to Develop Skills of Resource People to Establish FPO Under HADP
Atal Dulloo, ACS, Agriculture Production Department chaired a meeting for discussing strategies for developing the skills of resource people to establish Farmer's Producer Organisations under the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan.
Recently on May 17, 2023, Atal Dulloo, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department boarded a meeting, conducted in Cilvil Secretariat. The meeting's main aim was to discuss innovative strategies for developing the skills of resource people to establish Farmer's Producer Organisations (FPOs) under the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan(HADP).
Several high officials attended this meeting including the Director of Sheep Husbandry Jammu, the Director of Horticulture(P&M), Technical Officers, the Secretary of APD, the Director of Animal Husbandry J&K, and many more, in hybrid modes.
The meeting's main purpose, according to the statement, was to discuss a training course for resource people that would be run by the National Centre for Management of Agricultural Extension (MANAGE) Hyderabad.

Dulloo emphasized the value of policy support and thorough training for all resource people at the discussion.
The "key importance of supervising and supporting the training for Krishi Mitras" was another topic he had discussed.
Additionally, he stated about the recent launch of a learning management system availed for farmers in J&K. It includes four languages with the latest and updated written materials, objective-based questions, and modularized content.
This is done for the upliftment and to inculcate knowledge among farmers and the community, he added.

In addition to emphasizing the importance of implementing national policies in J&K, Atul Dulloo emphasized the importance of closing the implementation gaps between central policies and their actual execution on the ground.
