Dr. Manjunath, a prominent agricultural scientist originally from the Madakasira area in Satya Sai district, currently serving at an agriculture research institute in Bengaluru, has reported his safety amidst a series of attacks on Gaza by militants. Dr. Manjunath, who hails from the Rolla mandal in Satya Sai district and was on deputation for a year to study Israeli agriculture techniques, has been residing in Rehovot city, located in the central district of Israel.

In an interview, Dr. Manjunath shared his experiences, assuring that neither the building nor the institution where he was stationed in Israel was affected by the rocket attacks. He stated, "In our city, rockets fell down into 3-4 spots, but one on the road near my neighborhood. In other points, I don't know."

The ongoing conflict in the region has prompted several airlines in Asia to cancel their flights to Israel due to concerns over the security situation.

According to the UN humanitarian relief agency, Israeli air attacks and shelling targeting houses and apartment buildings in Gaza have resulted in the displacement of approximately 123,538 Palestinians. Many of those forced to flee their homes have sought refuge in some 64 schools within the coastal enclave, as reported by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
