Gurugram-based IoTechWorld Avigation, a leading manufacturer of agricultural drones, has recently announced a significant milestone in securing a substantial order from the renowned Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO).

The order entails the supply of 500 advanced drones, primarily designed for the efficient spraying of nano liquid urea and nano Diammonium Phosphate (DAP). The procurement of these drones marks a significant step for IFFCO's ambitious plan to employ 2,500 drones for product spraying, while simultaneously training 5,000 rural entrepreneurs in drone-based agricultural practices.

IoTechWorld Avigation, co-founded by Deepak Bhardwaj and Anoop Upadhyay, has emerged as a prominent player in the agricultural drone market. The company's DGCA-type certified drone, 'AGRIBOT,' has been tailored specifically for fertilizers, making it an ideal choice for IFFCO's requirements. With the delivery set to be completed by December 2023, IoTechWorld expresses gratitude for receiving the single largest order for their innovative Krishi-drones from IFFCO.

Highlighting their commitment to technological innovation in agriculture, co-founder Anoop Upadhyay emphasizes that IoTechWorld has been at the forefront of developing Kisan-drones in India. Deepak Bhardwaj, also a co-founder, further elaborates on the growing demand for drones in the market, with various organizations, including fertilizer and pesticide companies, as well as farmers and rural entrepreneurs, recognizing their potential benefits.

Bhardwaj emphasizes that IoTechWorld's AGRIBOT has been specifically engineered and programmed for optimal use with fertilizers, making it the preferred choice for IFFCO. The order from IFFCO not only attests to IoTechWorld's strength in the agri-drone segment but also aligns with their goal of supporting farmers and agri-entrepreneurs in implementing IFFCO's recently launched indigenous products, nano urea and nano DAP.

In addition to partnering with IFFCO, IoTechWorld Avigation has established a collaboration with Syngenta and has already covered an impressive 17,000 km of drone yatra across various parts of India. Anticipating a surge in demand, IoTechWorld aims to sell more than 3,000 drones in the current fiscal year, which represents a five to sixfold increase compared to the previous year.

The recent liberalization of the export policy for drones by the Indian Government has further opened up opportunities for the company to explore overseas markets, with a strong focus on regions such as SAARC, South East Asia, Latin America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Oman, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Philippines, Nepal, and Africa.
