Indian Drone Manufacturer Paras Aerospace Receives DGCA Approval to Sell Agricultural Drones
Amit Mahajan, the company's Business Development Director, stated that they've received certification for a 400-drone order, with strong future demand anticipated.
Paras Aerospace, a subsidiary of Paras Defence, has received approval from the Indian aviation authority, DGCA, to sell agricultural drones. This approval is for an order of 400 drones, and it is expected to lead to a surge in demand for agricultural drones in India.
Paras Aerospace says that this approval will also allow them to fulfill their existing contracts for the Paras-Agricopter V2.1 drone. This is a significant development for the Indian agricultural drone industry, as it marks the first time that a domestic company has received DGCA approval for an agricultural drone.
The company asserts that this endorsement has unlocked new opportunities within the agricultural drone sector, marking a major milestone. With a 60% stake in Paras Aerospace, Paras Defence has played a pivotal role in this achievement.

The global drone market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13% by 2030, and India is aiming to be a major player in this growth. With ambitious plans to establish a $1.8 billion drone industry by 2026, India is poised to become a key hub for drone manufacturing and innovation.
Amit Mahajan, the company’s Director for Business Development, expressed his optimism about the burgeoning drone market in India, as it stands on the verge of exploding with opportunities.
Paras Aerospace stands out for its extensive range of drone aircraft, and Paras Defence distinguishes itself as one of the few companies to have secured certifications for both agricultural and industrial drones.
In April, the company made headlines when Paras Aerospace received a Type Certificate from the DGCA for its Agri Drone, known as the "Paras-Agricopter." Paras Aerospace is poised to become a leading provider of agricultural drones in India and beyond.
The partnership between these two companies looks set to contribute significantly to the ever-expanding drone industry, and they are well-positioned to capitalize on the burgeoning demand for drones in India and beyond.
