Today, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of rain in various districts of Uttar Pradesh. In a tweet, the IMD stated that light-intensity rain or drizzle is likely to occur in the Iglas, Hathras, Jalesar, and Etah areas of Uttar Pradesh over the next two hours.

On Saturday, the IMD issued a warning of thunderstorms with rain in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and the National Capital Region.

Thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain were predicted over and adjoining areas of Muzaffarnagar, Bijnaur, Khatauli, and Sakoti Tanda areas of Hastinapur and Daurala of Uttar Pradesh.

In another development, farmers in Maharashtra's Buldhana staged a protest at the Sangrampur tehsil office premises, accusing the state government of inaction after unseasonal rains caused damage to their crops.

The Farmers' Organization workers and farmers staged the protest on April 22, demanding the opening of a government procurement centre and onion subsidy for summer onions. Reportedly, unseasonal rains caused significant damage to crops across the state, causing huge losses to farmers.
