The weather department has also issued a warning for 18 districts in Odisha due to an approaching cyclonic storm. Cyclone Mocha is predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to reach West Bengal and Odisha on May 7th. The depression is expected to gain strength on May 8th and develop into a deep depression before moving towards the central Bay of Bengal. By May 9th, it is anticipated to transform into a cyclonic storm.
