Hydrogen Combustion Engine From JCB Will Make Its International Debut

With a debut in North America, JCB will present its hydrogen combustion technology on a global stage for the first time.
The International Fluid Power Exposition (IFPE), which is a component of CONEXPO 2023, will unveil JCB's brand-new 'hydrogen combustion engine', the company's zero-carbon emissions solution for construction and agricultural equipment, at Booth S83751 in South Hall 3.

A JCB prototype backhoe loader and a Loadall telescopic handler are already powered by a hydrogen internal combustion engine developed by the company's engineering team, according to JCB Chairman Lord Bamford.

Many of JCB's innovations are geared toward reducing emissions and enhancing sustainability.

With its E-TECH line of electric technologies, JCB has created a battery-powered mini excavator as well as other electric technologies. One of the broadest selections of electric construction equipment is offered by JCB, and it will be on display at CONEXPO.

Since 1999, JCB has been committed to lowering emissions, and its most recent diesel engines have already achieved reductions of 98 percent in particulate matter and 97 percent in NOx emissions. Additionally, JCB's diesel-powered equipment emits 50% less CO2 than equipment made in 2010. The clean diesel engine technology from JCB will also be on display there.
