The Himachal Drone Conclave 2023 and Drone Exhibition was inaugurated by Himachal Pradesh Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar on Tuesday. The event, held at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University in Palampur, marks a significant step in harnessing the power of drone technology for agriculture and allied sectors.

The conclave, organized by the state government in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), aims to explore the diverse applications of drones and their potential impact on sectors such as agriculture, tourism, disaster management, and law enforcement.

During the two-day conclave, insightful discussions were held on various topics, including career opportunities in drone technologies for youths, the use of drones in law enforcement, disaster management, forest officials, agriculture, horticulture, and forest cover. The event serves as a catalyst for promoting the adoption and utilization of drones across different sectors.

The conclave included insightful discussions on various topics, such as career opportunities for youth in drone technologies, the use of drones in law enforcement, disaster management, forestry, agriculture, horticulture, and forest cover. This event serves as a catalyst for the widespread adoption and utilization of drones across diverse sectors, with the potential to revolutionize agriculture, disaster management, and infrastructure monitoring, among other areas.

Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, is scheduled to deliver the concluding address today on Wednesday. The final day will feature a crucial session highlighting the critical role of drones in delivering medical supplies, facilitating logistics, and their applications in infrastructure management and developmental projects.

Specifically, the session will emphasize the ability of drones to provide timely healthcare services, enable rapid emergency responses, facilitate the transportation of time-sensitive goods, and contribute to environmental sustainability, particularly in remote and hilly regions.
